This is hard to answer because when I ask for input no one ever actually gives input. So going off of my own ideas, this is what I think should/will happen:

  • get together and be awesome
  • play some tunes, be goofs and dance and sing
  • eat some snacks
  • Crowning Prom King/Queen (secret ballot type thing, done at the meet up)
  • adventuring down Stephen Avenue or through Prince’s Island Park
  • just be generally awesome

If you’re a Homestuck fan in the Calgary Area (and beyond!), you are more than welcome to join us, even if you don’t have the time for/don’t like/aren’t comfortable with cosplaying.

Just remember that May 11th is supposed to be a prom event, so dressing up a bit is preferred. But if all you can do is make sure your clothes are clean, that’s fine too. 

The official headcount for the Calgarystuck Prom is currently at:

  • 7 : confirmed going
  • 5 : maybes
  • 3 : if I work up the courage
  • 1 : if I’m in the province
  • 1 : I like cake

As for The Further Adventures of Promstuck, as of now there are no plans for a where-to-go after meeting up at Eau Claire. I’ve considered making reservations at a restaurant, but that would require a definite headcount; if only 7 people show up, we might not need reservations, but if all 17 responders (and yes, I am including you Miss I Like Cake) were to show up, we probably wouldn’t get any tables. Especially not on a friday night!

As always, suggestions and ideas are welcome all around.

Especially for music! I hope to have my Apiculture Network rig (laptop dock and speakers) done by then, but I’m not making any promises on that 😉

A motion has been raised to make the Calgary Promstuck meet up a humanstuck only event, as we will be in a place open to the public and not everyone will be as accepting of gray skinned horned teens and adults running around as the internet is.
