HAH
I ONLY TOOK TWO WEEKS BETWEEN POSTS ON JAKE
IT’S AN APRIL MIRACLE
(honestly, I just wanted to put the top hat on a tiger)
It is on the nights after hard fought battles and narrow escapes from death that Jake lays awake in his bed. He watches the moonlight play across the ceiling and the shadows creep across his floor. They are the nights where sleep does not come, where he does not want it to come. His thoughts may be bleak, but his nightmares are terrifying.
He wishes he was the person his friends thought he was.
There are two things that stop him from being that boy; that man. Two things that twist him up in knots of shame, but not regret.
His own voice echoes though his night terrors: “Ram the bladeship.”
And
“We have a deal, Crayak.”
sometimes roleplaying as Crayak is the most fun thing ever
and sometimes I die laughing
I am downright CACKLING as Kendra and Jess watch Madoka
As with so many other things I draw, this can be blamed on the Tumblrmorphs. (specifically Crow and Ani)
The hate-forts seem to have less hate in them than originally intended. Oh well, Dave and Karkat are still throwing things at each other.
<I know that you are young. I know that you have no power with which to resist the Yeerks. But you have the potential. If you make a wish, I can give you powers that no other human has.>
“Powers?”
<Make a contract with me, and you will become Magi.>
The tumblrmorphs are all enablers. BIG GIANT CROSSOVER ENABLERS.
I am aware that Elfangor is described as having a burn covering his entire side when the not-yet-Animorphs come across him, but this looked better to me.
Text is only slightly modified from the actual conversation in The Invasion.
THINGS THAT SHOULDN’T BE CROSSED
Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Animorphs
…
(I’m sitting in #animorphschat and I thought about posting this there but ya’ll are fucking enablers, I hope you know)
She’s sitting on the edge of her bed, nails digging into the fabric as the clock tick-tick-ticks in her ears. She’s purposely turned her back to it, but it’s more than just being able to see the numbers. To see time ticking inevitably forwards.
Her nails match the autumn red of her skirt, filed and shaped to perfection, though she fears that if she tightens her grip any more she’ll break one of them. That wouldn’t… that wouldn’t…
Deep breath.
Tick-tock.
<You don’t have to do this.>
Tick-tock.
“Yes I do.”
Tick-tock.
<Jake…>
Time’s up, Jakey-boy.
“It’s Rachel, now.”

so I like going into #animorphschat and shouting QUICK! followed by a random question
and then using that as inspiration for what I’m drawing

this is less Marco-being-loud than Marco-being-grumpy but whatevs
