Boo
I can’t get on the server with my castle. It keeps timing out :/
this is a project I’ve toyed with off and on, on a variety of different maps.
today I started anew. Previously I’ve only ever gotten as far as about half of the Kokiri Village, but this time… well if I don’t give up and go back to building my castle on that one server, I plan on making the whole of Hyrule.
I make no promises.
I just sunk another four hours into this beast. Building in survival multiplayer is intense man.
Seven of the nine main towers (not including the massive central tower) are ready to be capped with stained clay, the walls between the towers are all up and ready to get their stained glass inserts, the clock tower needs it’s cap, the inner wall needs it’s stubby corner towers built up, and the outer wall (visible on the left) needs it’s roof.
And then there’s still the Cathedral, Hotel, and Library to be built. Plus whatever buildings come to mind while I’m building. (The forge is part of the building with the green wool roof, there is farmland in the midst of the village-area, though I’ll be moving that eventually, and the mine entrance is covered by the building on the far right)
One day I’ll make a video that actually shows this monstrosity off.
…I really don’t like it when I’m building on a server and someone comes along and says “you can live in my village with me!”
especially when they’ve seen the entire fucking village I have built for myself. in SURVIVAL. SINCE MAY. It’s not small. There is something like THREE HUNDRED HOURS* put into that village
(*estimate. Some days I put in 12 hours, some days I put in 45 minutes.)
I’m not giving up my fucking awesome house, the row houses I’ve built, the farms, the sheep I’ve gathered and dyed, the market place, the tower, the TWO stupidly tall walls that encase the region, and the fucking mines.
Yeah. Your village is quaint. Your house is pretty nifty. And I’m sure you’re lonely because omg no one is ever on. Including you. More often than not I’m online for three/four/seven hours by my lonesome.
I’m seriously worried that I’m going to log back in later and find my village in ruins. That’s what happened the last time I said no to someone’s oh-so-generous offer to live with them. They can’t do anything to the house, since that’s within my claim, but the rest of it… [winces]
WHY ARE YOU UPSIDE DOWN???
the owner of this server I’d been playing on gave me a whole pile o’stuff. just spewed it at me, right?
so I put it into my locked chest, because jesus I don’t need to be carrying all of that stuff around with me
logged in today after a week of not being on
all of it is gone
and one of the mods was all “oh you own this house? wouldn’t you rather buy a house in my town?” and then fucking ATTACKED ME when I ignored him in favor of crafting a new pickaxe, since hey. all my spares were in that chest that I’m fairly certain got destroyed because my lock-sign wasn’t on it
I’m seriously not happy right now
Finally got some time to go and build a house and stuff on the drunk rooster server. I mean, I had a tiny box around a bed, but now I have a house. it’s pretty.
no pictures because I had to go make lunch and now I have to do a zillion other things and experience has taught me that logging back on would mean getting trapped in minecraftland for the rest of the day.
It’s easy to tell when it’s night in my village, even when working in my basement.
All the fucking villagers invade my house.
