I’ve got a few friends who are willing to do an Avatar group with me, but that might be aways off due to their current financial woes. Though we were talking about a Legend of Korra group and not a Last Airbender group.
either way, the desire is strong and I am tempted to just go for it for like… Animethon or something.

The big reason behind me doing Suki was actually because I was a late comer to this big Avatar group, and as my then boyfriend was going to be Sokka it came down to me being Yue or Suki because ~relationships~
(and then he dumped me in a rather assholeish way and I never got the costume past the planning stages)
I regret not doing an Avatar costume when my group was doing it
What size is the barrel? How old is the machine? And what is the get setting, because my hair is as think as a wig and it took me 40 minutes when it was long~
comparatively speaking, wigs are thin. Styling them is sooooo much easier than my hair, but anyways back to the actual question
the barrel is… I dunno, about 1.5cm in diameter and 4 inches in length; we’ve got a larger iron (about 2 inches in diameter) but I don’t like using it mostly because I like tighter curls. It’s four or five years old now, most of which has been spent in a purse under the sink. It’s a cheapy little drugstore type thing, so I don’t rightly know any of the settings aside from “high is hot”
!40 minutes that is an awful long time! what do you to curl?
I use a hot iron and curl in one inch wide chunks, holding for ten seconds. My hair is pretty thick and sometimes refuses to take the curls; meaning I wind up re-curling the same chunk of hair three or four times.

tulle is amazing for making skirts puffy but it has some sort of vendetta against me and I’ve never been able to make it do what I want it to :p
