The phone at the Berenson household rings.

“We should do something… real.” She said. This might be the breaking point with Jake, she knew, the danger involved in her suggestion to Tom might be enough to make him turn down the suggestion. “Let’s… go on a camping trip or something! We can sit him down and have a talk about Ax’s situation there, see if we can’t come to an agreement.” Translation: let’s starve out the yeerk. It might tip off his co-workers and boss. If he escaped, they were extra-fucked. They might be attacked by someone keeping an eye on Tom.

She thought it was worth the risk.

He has to close his eyes against the immediate and vicious response of yes. YES YES YES YES YES! it rings through his mind and behind his eyes and calls upon every late night fantasy he’s had since the first day he knew Tom was a controller. He wants to. He wants to drag Tom out into the woods, tie him down and starve the slug out. He wants his brother to be free, he wants his brother period.

There were risks, though. Some very serious risks. Tom could escape before the Yeerk died, and it would be proof that he and Rachel at least knew something. Another Controller could come looking for them to rescue Tom’s Yeerk. Tom could go right into trying to take them in to avoid the trip all together.

But the most horrifying one, the one that had kept Jake from acting so many times before, was the one where freeing Tom specifically would be noticed. The moment he came back without his passenger, Zach and Chapman would know. And Jake couldn’t predict their reactions.

“As much fun as that would be, Rachel, I don’t think we’ll have the time.” The words leave a bitter taste in his mouth.

and then I got Jake feels everywhere

While the natural inclination would be to say that Ironman is my favorite Avenger,

for what are hopefully obvious reasons,

my actual preference leans more towards Agent Coulson.

For what I hope are also obvious reasons.

I have way too much fun with my ask blogs.

Just saying.

Sometimes the OOC dramatics just get too bad and you just can’t continue roleplaying IC without it being tainted by the shadow of things.  Even when the RP is otherwise great, you just can’t keep doing it.  It doesn’t ever get any easier to decide to cut it, either; even if you know there’s another great RP out there waiting for you to discover it.

yugosaki said: Seen the word Yeerk, childhood came back and hit me in the face. There’s still a legit animorphs fandom??? Holy shit

Yeah! Well, a bit of one anyways, what you’ve stumbled on is just a drabble arising from a small group roleplaying on Tumblr. If you want to keep track of what’s going on with that, there’s askjakeberenson, askrachelberenson (that’s me!), zach-from-the-sharing, tom252, askmynameismarco, and a whole bunch more! (…Sorry everyone else, I’ve run out of patience to type them all up. xP)

hahahahahahaha

Oh Ryan

Of COURSE there’s an Animorphs fandom. It is filled with beautiful and wonderful people, who ship Yeerks and liveblog reading Homestuck. They also compare themselves to the Avengers, and have a hell of a time pretending it’s all one big crazy ARG whenever aliens come up and Tom or Zach are around… or at least that’s our corner of it, anyways.

this is why I’ve been freaking about the age thing

jteeple:

Guys, I live in the South, I am 25, and I am bi. Conversations of a sexual nature around underagers can get people like me hurt here, even if they’re of a completely legal nature. Now I realize this is on the internet, so and I’m not actively doing anything, but please be considerate of my trepidation on the matter.

Keep whatever you do with my character in the safe zone. PG-13 That’s all I ask. I’m not being a prude. I don’t hate your fun. I just don’t want to deal with scary hillbillies accusing me of corrupting the youth, okay? It’s probably mostly an irrational fear, but it’s the kind of talk I hear almost daily and it scares me shitless.

I’m not saying I expected you to get dirty, it’s just no one replied to my request for you not to get dirty with my character.

That is quite understandable. I’ve had some bad experiences myself, though nothing overtly dangerous. I’ve had friends banned from having anything to do with me on account of a variety of things ranging from my choices in partners, my drinking habits, my damn age (at the time she was 17, and I was 21, and apparently that was wrong)

And I will admit, that when it comes to online interactions, I tend to forget that I am usually dealing with folks ranging anywhere from two to fifteen years younger than me. That said, I try to keep my blog on the clean side. I don’t particularly care for the dirty side of things, so my own fanworks lean towards the cute and fluffy side of things.

I think the dirtiest I’ve ever done was that davejohn sketch for Hanna…

anyways, what I’m saying is that while I didn’t see your original request, I will abide by it 🙂

“Tom… I don’t get it!”

“My name is Temrash,” the Yeerk grumbled, rolling his (well, Tom’s) eyes, and draping an arm over his companion’s shoulders. This was the easiest method he had of controlling the younger Yeerk as he flailed his host’s limbs every which way. “Get what?”

“Your host’s family!” he practically wailed. “Why do they think we’re in a relationship?!”

Temrash paused and stared at the other Controller for a long moment.

“Maybe because you’re sitting in my lap right now?”

Rachel – OMG, I love the way you keep trolling Tom on that subject.

Just FYI, he’s never going to reply. It’s a convenient cover, but actually having a boyfriend/girlfriend is annoying and too much work.

So then people are just going to think that Tom’s with Zach

and poor Zach will never hear the end of it

I support this ship ;D
