yaaaaaaay!!
my white and green wig arrived!
yesterday actually, but I went from work straight to the biggest (only? I think all the others have closed…) in-mall theatre in Calgary so I could watch the Avengers, and missed it’s arrival.
due to sickness I couldn’t finish my Thor costume as getting out of bed was kinda hard
so we took the Bearvengers.
Andrew hasn’t posted the pictures yet, but we went to Buildabear and bought the avengers costumes.
Peter Porker / Spiderpig
Teddy Stark / Ironbear
Steve Rovers / Captain Ameribark
Bruce Bearner / The Incredibear Hulk
(there wasn’t a Thor costume. Otherwise there probably would have been a slap-fight over who got it)
Bruce Bearner is mine. He’s a camouflage bear. Amanda has Teddy Stark, she’s planning on giving him a scotch sampler bottle and a moustache. Mel’s patchy puppy is Steve Rovers though he is technically Lucien’s (her son). And despite his non-status in the movieverse, Amber has Peter Porker.
We had a lot of fun last night, and the movie was fantastic. As per consensus among the blogs I follow, I won’t spoil it for anyone until the 19th. I will say that I will be seeing it again. And hopefully not in 3D; there are entire fight scenes that were nothing but fuzzy blurs even with the glasses on thanks to the 3D.
Nevermind the fact that the 3D blurred out all the tiny details that I tend to look at/for when watching movies. Dammit, if you’re going to have a panning sequence taking in all the damage the bad guys did— I WANT TO SEE THE DAMAGE NOT BLURS. stupid mandatory focus point…
now I need to go answer the calgarystuck asks… give me 20 minutes dear followers
