Alright guys, here’s the deal.
I recently did an assignment with my 2nd and 3rd graders in my Junior High School (roughly equivalent to 8th and 9th grade) where they wrote letters to their favorite anime characters.
Many of these were letters to characters from SnK, given that it’s super freaking popular right now.
My coteachers then asked if I could please respond to the letters in English.
And then I thought of the RP community, and I realized this was actually a really interesting opportunity for us.
JHS is difficult around the world, and I love these students dearly. They’re not all well behaved, they don’t all love English, but they’re all still kids and they’re all worth time. My town is rural and poor, and many of these kids do not have access to opportunities that kids in Osaka, Tokyo, or Kyoto would have. And they are all around the same age as the 104th graduates.
IF you are interested in answering letters, send me an ask: list 3 characters you’re willing to write as, and I’ll put you on a list. Technically these kids have until the end of the school year (march) to hand in the letters, but they’ve already started trickling in.
So far we’ve had letters to: Erwin, Hanji, Ymir, Jean, and Eren.
The rules:
- Please write your letter in Easy English only.
- The letters are largely confidential, and unless you specify otherwise your response will be seen only by me and its recipient.
- If you get a Hartoful Confession Letter, don’t promise to date my student.
