Roughly 36 hrs after this tragedy, there are now 7 confirmed dead and search and rescue continues. Yet my local paper (we live in one of the boroughs of NYC) barely carries an article, and not a fucking word from anyone on my FB news feed. It’s just disgusting, the hypocrisy, the lack of compassion. But you know, POC are just too sensitive and we imagine this racism all around us.

It goes on about how, a year ago, this guy smelled gas in his basement and when the fire dept came to investigate, he flipped a light switch and an explosion occurred. There were minor injuries.
